Two More Summer Shul Events Added

Member Art Opening: PEGASUS
Join us for the opening of member Suzanne Tick's latest showing of work, at the Cristina Grajales Gallery. A guest speaker in our Rebbe's Table program and an esteemed artist, Suzanne specializes in textiles.

From the beginning, Suzanne spent summers in her fathers scrap metal recycling plant weighing and sorting metals, exploring the possibilities in the cast-offs of rural life.
At the University of Iowa, she began as a printmaker, etching fabric and texture into copper. She left as a weaver, combining materials both hard and soft.
Suzanne's life and work have always been a narration of balance. She creates work that harnesses the struggles of life, resulting in textiles that are both delicate and strong. She investigates materials, pairing the thick with the thin, the dull with the brilliant, and the colorful with the neutral. As Suzanne states, "weaving holds everything together, materials and life, successes and failures." For more, see her website at suzannetick.com

When: Wednesday, July 18th, 5:30-7:30pm
Where: Cristina Grajales Gallery, 10 Greene Street, 4th Fl

Please RSVP to mayers@suzannetick.com

Help One of Our Caterers Out

Our friend and caterer behind our Purim feast, needs 45 more votes to be eligble for a $250,000 grant.
Please take a minute to vote for Caterbuzz, a social media forum and support group for caterers, founded by Lisa Teiger.

1.  On the home page, click support to log in with Facebook.
2.  On the bottom half of the subsequent page will be a search bar. Put in "CaterBuzz" and click search. City and State are not necessary if you type in  "Caterbuzz" in the company name.  (but if you have to use Forest Hills, NY)
3. Then when it comes up, click vote and then log out! Simple as that!
Together they help to grow small and midsized catering businesses here in the US and worldwide. They hope to use the money to expand their services to offer an on demand pay as you go library of training and trend resources. They would also like to upgrade their free forum (and keep it free) and expand their worldwide presence!

Good luck, Caterbuzz!

Rishonim End of the Year Projects!

Another year at Rishonim has come to an end! Each of our classes spent the last few weeks working on end of the year presentations to share with the school community what they have learned this year. Projects included Prophet Plays, a Prophets for President Carnival, an Original Picture Book, a Mock Trial, and a You Be The Judge Talk Show. The kids were great and it was fun to see what everyone worked on this year. Here are some pictures of our amazing students:
